Dare you ride the Night Bus to Blood Bath Street?
October 26 2017

Tennent’s Lager is serving Halloween revellers this year with its own terrifying take on another Scottish institution – the Night Bus.

Following from last year’s Spooky Taxi, a hearse that transported revellers on their nights out, Tennent’s Night Bus will be on hand to ferry petrified punters around streets that have been spookified for one fright night only: Blood Bath Street, Yuckiehall Street, Arghoul Street, Water-Boo Street and St Vampire Street. The spooky service will run from 8-10pm on Saturday 28 October as part of the lager brand’s ongoing campaign to serve Scotland.

Those who manage to catch the bus will be treated to bewitching stand-up comedy from Glasgow’s own Raymond Mearns (Limmy’s Show, BBC Radio Scotland) as well as a whole host of eerie extras including apparitions scarily similar to characters everyone will have met on the way home from a night out.

Look out for another hilarious video from Tennent’s this week previewing the service before it goes live on Saturday. Halloween revellers with a sharp eye might recognise some of the characters from the video popping up in partner bars on Saturday night. Should they identify the motley crew and buy them a pint of Tennent’s Lager, pubgoers will be rewarded with a treat ranging from wireless headphones, an iPad or high-street vouchers – no trick required!

Those who want to catch a ride on the Night Bus can hail it outside any of the participating bars. The route plan has been revealed as:

  • Blood Bath Street – Tiki Bar
  • Yuckiehall Street – Broadcast
  • Arghoul Street –Lebowskis
  • Water-Boo Street – The Admiral
  • St Vampire Street – King Tuts

Alan McGarrie, Head of UK Brand Marketing at Tennent’s said: “Everyone’s got a few horror stories of their own to tell from a trip on the night bus on the way home from a night out, it’s a rite of passage for Scots. Halloween’s one of our favourite nights of the year, and the Night Bus is our way of marking the occasion in a unique way. So, if you’re heading out on Halloween and fancy a lift to any of our partner bars – keep an eye out for the scariest looking number 666 in town. If you spot one of our own night bus terrors in one of the bars, buy them a pint of Tennent’s and there might just be a treat in-store for you…”
