Tennent’s Lager, is once again here to serve Scotland and ensure they’re simply having a wonderful Christmas time with a series of festive activations planned for both consumers and the trade across December.
The lager brand kicked off their Christmas calendar with new bespoke glassware which has been introduced to 750 outlets across Scotland. Designed to increase brand visibility in-bar and generate sales for Tennent’s customers, the glass is complete with snowflakes, reindeer, a Christmas tree and the iconic Red T. The new festive glassware is a first from the brand and marks the end of a year in which Tennent’s Lager finished as the top-selling alcohol brand in Scotland.
On Thursday (7 December) Tennent’s unveiled their new Christmas temp – Rude-Olph. Driving footfall into outlets, the interactive red-nosed, hard faced reindeer will be touring selected Tennent’s pouring outlets across Scotland throughout December. Serving consumers with Christmas tips, advice and patter, Rude-Olph will help to keep punters right all through the Christmas season. A virtual version of the talkative taxidermy will also be available on the Tennent’s website to help consumers with all Christmas quandaries.
Finally, on Tuesday 12 December, Tennent’s will reveal findings from a survey of 1,000 UK consumers about what makes the perfect pub atmosphere during the festive season. Findings from the poll will include what songs have been voted festive floor fillers or Christmas turkeys, to what décor consumers deem desirable – the results overwhelmingly show that the local pub is a hugely important part of the Christmas season.
The in-outlet activation of Rude-Olph will pop-up in:
- 8-9 Dec – The Raven, Glasgow
- 14-16 Dec – The Black Bull, Edinburgh
- 21-23 Dec – Taybridge Bar, Dundee
- 28-30 Dec – Bridge St. Social Club, Aberdeen
Claire Arnott, Head of Customer Marketing at Tennent’s said: “As we reach the peak trading period of December, we wanted to support our customers as much as possible, giving them every opportunity to capitalise on the increased footfall and generate sales through the till.
“From our new bespoke festive glassware to our Christmas temp Rude-olph and our survey identifying what makes the perfect trip to the pub this Christmas, we wanted to round off the year in a way that gives Tennent’s drinkers a chuckle.”
