THE BEER THAT MADE MILWAUKEE FAMOUS
It all started in 1849, when a German immigrant by the name of August Krug decided to brew his own beer in a restaurant basement. A year later, he hired fellow immigrant Joseph Schlitz to help him with the restaurant. Little did they know at the time that they would be the founders of an iconic beer.
The beer Milwaukee on the map includes a blend of Cascade, Mt. Hood and Williamette hops, resulting in a timeless refreshing taste. It’s the ideal product for those who appreciate craft and heritage, and for bars who are looking for an authentic, award-winning US beer to add to their premium beer portfolio.
1902 was a very good year – Schlitz became the largest brewery in the world.
Schlitz is a beer for people who really care about (and know a lot about) beer.
